Hey there, my first MGS was also 2, and even when is still in my opinion my favorite game of the franchise (gameplay and story) I would DEFINITELY ask you to wait and play MGS1 first. Story wise the game touches many themes that would make more sense if you play the first one. MG1 is also by far the easiest game to get used to it's mechanics.You definitely should play MGS1 first.
